Palm springs team building ideas - palm springs sign in front of palm trees

James’ 37 Favorite Palm Springs Team Building Ideas for 2024

I’ve put together a most excellent list of Palm Springs team building activities and ideas. My name is James and I’ve spent a lot of time on the streets of Palm Springs leading scavenger hunts, lounging at the pool at the legendary Ace Hotel, and sneaking in to play chess at the Parker.

What draws me to this funny little slice of retro in the desert (other than our team building clients) is the desert meets starlet meets swanky feel that Palm Springs exudes.  Since Palm Springs is just a short drive away, our team based in

California, are practically locals. In fact, one of our team members actually lives out in Palm Desert.

If you want to escape rainy days and low visibility head to Palm Springs for perfect team bonding backdrop. From the aerial tramway to the Desert Surf Club to the world class golfing, the team building activities are expansive. The resorts and conference facilities in Palm Springs make planning incredibly straightforward. Whether your planning a retreat, meeting, or conference Palm Springs has a space for you. In fact, there is miles of space. If you head in one direction you’ll hit Joshua Tree National Park (I love you Pappy & Harriets) and depending on the time of year you could might narrowly miss the madness of Coachella.

No matter what time of year you end up in Palm Springs I guarantee you’ll get sunshine, cocktails, and adventure. I’ve curated this list to be a mix of low or no cost and paid options. I understand that sometimes you don’t need glitz and glam, you simply need a hike.

All of the Palm Springs based activities on our list can be classified as team building exercises, fun team activities, or team bonding. The uniting factor is your group will be together and enjoying themselves as a team. This list of top ideas for Palm Springs and the surrounding areas contains both indoor team building activities and outdoor team building ideas. Remember, that no matter the team activity you choose the true value is spending time together. Connection in the current landscape of remote work and hybrid workplaces is more important than ever.

It’s fast-paced creative fun as teams try to out-build each other while enjoying the desert oasis of Palm Springs! Teams are also responsible for wowing a panel of judges with a sales pitch of their boat design. So how will you convince the judges that your boat is the BEST?

THIS EXHIBIT IS LOCATED ACROSS the street from the Palm Springs Art Museum in a large courtyard.
